Item Description

Two clusters, to 2.7 cm, of intergrown, frosted, sea-green fluorite cubes are jauntily perched atop the large, very showy, craggy, combination matrix. Glassy gray quartz crystals and pastel-pink orthoclase are richly peppered with white albite crystals, smaller quartz points and tiny muscovite rosettes. There is a sharply terminated, well-formed, 6.5 cm, partially chlorite-coated, orthoclase crystal on the back. The fluorites have purple fluorescence. Showy and excellent large combination material from this famous Italian locale. Ex Bob Trimingham Collection of California.
