Item Description

Two generations of quartz nearly totally envelop this impressive and sculptural large fluorite and quartz combination from this famous Weardale Mine. The classic, 6.3 x 5.5 x 3.3 cm, translucent, lustrous, cross-hatched, variably-purple fluorite cube is dramatically cloaked on three sides with glassy di-pyramidal (beta style) quartz points. Scintillating drusy quartz partially coats the front and some of the side faces. That's a contact on the front of the cube, where another crystal once lay, but there is no damage, per se. Fluorites of this size and combination quality are RARE from here. Bright fluorescence, as you would expect! Classic and excellent large Frazer's Hush fluorite and quartz.
