Fluorite & Quartz (Antarctica!) Trimingham Coll

An EXTREMELY RARE combination piece from Antarctica! Crude, purple to colorless, stepped-growth fluorite cubes are scattered on the vuggy layered matrix with numerous quartz points. Bruising is noted and not great to look at, but this an exceptional and very rare combination specimen from the bottom of the world. Ex Bob Trimingham Collection and according to his label, was collected by Pappy Yeats in 1964 and was on display at Texas Tech University.
