Item Description

An uncommon and excellent combination specimen from Butte of translucent, frosted, lavender fluorite microcrystals richly and aesthetically placed on small needle quartz crystals and a few small pyrite crystals. The hefty matrix consists of lustrous, brassy, pyrite and milky quartz. This showy, old-time specimen is from the famous Leonard Mine and is from the Robert Whitmore Collection. Well crystallized fluorite is not that common at Butte and this is a highly representative specimen.
