Item Description

An impressive and uncommon large combination from the famous Nikolaevskiy Mine at Dalnegorsk. Uncommon intergrown doubly terminated frosted quartz crystals anchor the sculptural specimen. Clusters of bi-colored sea-green to light purple translucent fluorite crystals with satin lustre faces accented with contrasting tiny pyrite crystals are a fine and rare accessory. The two large doubly terminated quartz crystals are 9.8 and 9.3 cm long. The contacted back also hosts sections of sphalerite. The bit of bruising to the two smaller fluorite crystal clusters is certainly only a modest detraction. Modest purple fluorite fluorescence. Rare and showy large combination material from famed Dalnegorsk. Ex Chet Lemanski Collection and acquired in 2001.
