Item Description
A dramatic, unusual and very rare mounded 2-sided miniature from this famous locale. Purple fluorite has preferentially pseudomorphed the tips of glassy, translucent, hematite-tinted, dogtooth calcite crystals or completely replaced them on one end. The pseudos are concentrated on one side, with the other side covered with a second generation of tiny, jewel-like oxide-tinted, calcite rhombs. Strikingly, you can see the gemmy rhombs starting to cascade over the crest on to the pseudo side! Stunning, fascinating and rare material from the West Camp. Amethyst is very rare from any Santa Eulalia mine. Essentially pristine. Neon-orange and purple fluorescence. An amazing 360-degree, essentially pristine rarity! Value??
