Fluorite on Sphalerite (Steve Neely & Ross Lillie Coll.)

Item Description

Deep purple fluorite cubes are aesthetically clustered on the microcrystalline rubyjack sphalerite matrix on this dramatic and very fine elongated large combination specimen from the famous Annabel Lee Mine. The lustrous frosted cubes, to 3.2 cm, are mostly opaque, but have nifty moderately translucent faces and edges. This excellent piece has two outstanding display views and is nearly pristine, with only two gently bruised corners, which are certainly only modest detractions. The piece has a fine provenance, having been in the Steve Neely and Ross Lillie Collections. Mined calculated 1988.
