Item Description

Despite the fact that there are only a handful of minerals found at the Elmwood mine, some of them are among the most recognizable minerals in the world. The classic purple Fluorites are a favorite among collectors, and it's easy to see why. This piece features a sharp, gemmy, deep purple cubic crystal of Fluorite measuring 1.3 cm on edge smartly perched atop a mound of crystallized reddish-brown Sphalerite. A classic example of an Elmwood Fluorite on matrix. From the collection of Colorado collector, John Arnaud.
