A striking and beautiful fluorite cube attached to a bit of sphalerite matrix from the famous and now-closed Elmwood Mine and the Consie Prince Collection. The glassy, translucent, light purple cube has gorgeous, stepped-growth faces. The trivial corner wear and nearly out of sight contacting on the back have very minimal impact on the overall quality of this classic fluorite cube from Elmwood. The color is very pleasing - lighter than normal and so more translucent to light. Between this factor and its great 3-dimensionality, and its pretty good condition overall, this is nearly a $1000 Elmwood in today's market, now that the mine is closed. Get a good one while you can!
