Item Description
A classic specimen of Fluorite on Sphalerite from Elmwood. These are some of the most iconic mineral specimens from any US locality. This piece features a pair of sharp, very gemmy, rich purple colored cubes of Fluorite measuring up to 1.3 cm on edge sitting atop a layer of crystallized, dark reddish-black "ruby jack" Sphalerite matrix. The main Fluorite crystal is in great condition, while the secondary smaller Fluorite is contacted on the back where it was removed from the pocket wall. The saturation of the color is excellent for the size of the Fluorite crystals.
