Item Description

Despite the fact that there are only a handful of minerals found at the Elmwood mine, some of them are among the most recognizable minerals in the world. The classic purple Fluorites are a favorite among collectors, and it's easy to see why. This piece features several sharp, gemmy, deep purple cubic crystals of Fluorite measuring up to 9 mm on edge smartly perched atop a mound of crystallized reddish-brown Sphalerite. A little damage here and there, but still good. A classic example of an Elmwood Fluorite on matrix.
