Item Description

Fascinating and quite unusual 4.6 cm-across Fluorite crystal perched perfectly atop a cluster of three gemmy Smoky Quartz crystals. This winsome Fluorite is unlike any other I have seen from Erongo. For starters, there are at least five different shades of green Fluorite, each attractive and quite noticeable. Also, the top 'corner' is actually the mold of another crystal - likely Quartz or Schorl. Yet most unusual of all are the rounded, broad stepped-growth surfaces on the face of the crystal. It makes the dominant face look like an amazing, translucent-to-gemmy topographic map. The effect is startling and quite engaging. The entire piece is contacted in the back, but thank goodness a piece this aesthetic and unusual was able to survive in such good condition.
