Item Description

Lustrous, translucent, deep grape-purple, fluorite cubes to 1.2 cm are richly and aesthetically strewn on the two-sided CABINET crust of sparkly, rubyjack sphalerite. Some crystal faces are smooth, while others are preferentially rippled. Facinating. The backlit photo highlights the intense grape-purple color density. Scattered edgewear and bruising are noted, but this remains a highly representative example of a very dark purple fluorite varietal from this noted locale. Ex Robert Whitmore Collection # 2619 with a 1986 date.
