Item Description
Classic, color-zoned, rich grape-purple fluorite cubes are aesthetically set atop and on the impressive large mound of rubyjack sphalerite crystals accented with starkly contrasting fields of lustrous dolomite rhombs. The dominating large cube is 1.9 cm on edge and all of the cubes have satin luster, densely stepped-growth faces. Both the cubes and sphalerite glow, when back lit. The broken fluorite and sphalerite bruising noted lower on the piece have minimal impact to the fine sculptural quality of this classic combination. This fine large display specimen has long been in the mineral collection of John Culberson, one of our current Texas Congressmen in the US House of Representatives for the Houston area. He has specialized in Elmwood minerals for several decades. Valued at $800-1000, and comes with his label (business card)
