Fluorite on Quartz on Fluorite

A wonderful large cabinet showy piece from the famous De'an Mine in China. Dozens of very sharp, well-formed, gemmy octahedra of Fluorite measuring up to 1.4 cm are sitting on a layer of white Quartz which shows a strange almost fibrous habit in areas and sitting on a layer of massive green Fluorite matrix. The color of the Fluorites is mostly purple, but with backlighting you can see green tones in the center which is a classic combination of colors from De'an. Very little damage overall and very attracitve up close and across the room. A really attractive Fluorite for anybody who loves Chinese minerals or worldwide Fluorites.
