Item Description
These beautiful and distinctive, sharp, light green, Fluorite octahedrons from the Homestake Mine of Arizona were in high demand at the 2001 Tucson Show. Five translucent to transparent frosted, sea-foam green Fluorite octahedrons are nicely placed on the complimentary sparkling white, coarse drusy Quartz matrix. The Fluorite octahedrons range in size from 1.1 to 2.2 cm across. The frosted look of the octahedrons is attributed to the minute stepped cube face growth! It is a beautiful and aesthetic cabinet specimen from the quartz veins that transect the mine workings here.
