Fluorite on Quartz (ex Arnaud Collection)

Item Description

These are some of the most interesting fluorite specimens from any locality. To find fluorite in a Trap Rock locality such as this is very unusual, as most people are accustomed to seeing zeolites and associated species from India. These golden botryoidal fluorites are unique and extremely attractive. This specimen features a a very gemmy, good sized, rich golden color, fluorite "sphere" on gemmy, colorless, stubby quartz crystal matrix. The "sphere" measures 3.6 cm. The white internal coloration patches are natural and there is no damge. The piece is virtually undamaged and actually looks a bit better in person than the photos show. Ex John Arnaud Collection.
