Charming combination piece from the famous Yaogangxian Mine in China, of a classic style from the 1990s and early 2000s. This small cabinet features a pair of sharp, attractive Fluorites perched perfectly along the faces of a gemmy to translucent Quartz crystal. The largest Fluorite is 2.1 cm on edge, with excellent luster and deep purple edges that really contrast and enhance the light purple color of the crystals. There is Muscovite and Calcite to add to the mineral interest. The aesthetics are so good it's hard to imagine being able to place the Fluorites any better along the prism faces. Acquired in 1993, during the early heyday of Yaogangxian. Wise purchase back then! It is a very iconic style, with sharp contrasts of color and geometry. Valued $950
