Attractive combination of Fluorite on gemmy Quartz from the famous Yaogangxian Mine in China. The gemmy to translucent Fluorites have a glassy luster and an appealing, light lavendar color. There is a purple zone just below the faces, which is classic for Yaogangxian. The largest Fluorite cube is 1.2 cm. There is one corner that is cleaved, but the colors are so uniform throughout the piece that the good aesthetics are not affected. #12,461 in Kay's collection, this is a fine, representative specimen for this renowned mine.
