Fluorite on Quartz

Item Description

A showy cabinet sized piece of these old classic from Dalnegorsk. This particular specimen dates back to the 1980s-1990s era of mining and features attractive gemmy green octahedral crystals of Fluorite measuring up to 1.2 cm, sitting on a plate of lustrous, sharp, well-formed white Quartz crystals on matrix. If you look closely, you can see tiny little cubic faces on the corners of the Fluorites. I love the separation between the Fluorites, and when backlit, you will see they are virtually water-clear in areas. No major damage I can see, and this particular style is certainly hard to find from Dalnegorsk on the market these days.
