Item Description
The famed Sunnyside Mine in the San Juan Mountains of Colorado is best known for its attractive Rhodochrosite specimens, along with beautiful Fluorites. This piece is a good quality specimen filled with small, highly lustrous, very gemmy, pale green cubic crystals of Fluorite measuring up to 4 mm, sitting on white Quartz on host rock matrix. Most of the Fluorites are undamaged and look very nice up close. From the collection of Gary Weaver of Prescott, Arizona (1944-2019). Gary was an electrical engineer who worked for many years for Hughes Aircraft in California. You can read Gary's obituary here https://www.dcourier.com/news/2019/apr/27/obituary-gary-richard-weaver/
