Item Description

A gorgeous, and superb quality "water-green" color, incredibly gemmy, sharp, rather lustrous, intergrown, cubic crystal group of Fluorite measuring 5.0 cm across aesthetically sitting atop a mound of cuboctahedral silvery Galena. The final touch to the piece is a beautiful bright emerald green color, highly modified group of Fluorite sitting on the UNDERSIDE of the specimen, inside what looks to be a cast after Anhydrite. This piece is not from a recent find at the mine, but actually over 30 years ago (late 1970s). For the quality and overall aesthetics, it is a sweet cabinet from this incredible mine. The piece came from the well known collection of Brian Kosnar. If you like Fluorites, do not miss out on this one. The color and quality is really hard to reproduce in the photos, and because it's so gemmy with such a subtle yet strong color, you have to see it in person to truly appreciate it. Valued at $1550 retail.
