Fluorite on Ferberite (rare combo)

The famous Yaogangxian Mine in China has produced some of the most iconic minerals specimens from any locality in the country. This miniature specimen is a rarely seen combination of Fluorite on Ferberite, but what really makes it enticing is that the Fluorite is GREEN(!), which is notably rare since most of the Fluorites on Ferberite from this locale are purple. This piece features an excellent, gemmy green cubic crystal of Fluorite measuring 1.9 cm beautifully perched atop a jet-black cluster of striated Ferberite crystals. Minor Quartz and Pyrrhotite can be seen on the back of the piece, along with a slight coating of golden Muscovite for a great accent. The Ferberite group is crystallized all around, and it's even partially crystallized/re-crystallized on the base, so it's in great shape all around. It should be noted that the Fluorite crystal does have a ding on the top edge, so it's not 100% pristine, but the overall aesthetics, along with the rare green color of the Fluorite and the hard to find Ferberite association makes up for it. A must have for any fan of Chinese minerals, worldwide Fluorites or specifically minerals from the Yaogangxian Mine.
