Item Description

Two striking fluorite cubes with dramatic preferentially frosted and etched gray dodecahedral modified edges are beautifully set in the very sculptural, 3-dimensional expertly prepared matrix lined with starkly contrasting sparkly drusy quartz. The stunning large cube is 3.0 x 2.6 x 2.5 cm and the smaller cube is 1.3 x 1.1 x 1.0 cm. Both crystals have rich violet color and are quite gemmy with satin lustre faces. Backlighting reveals that the large cube has beautiful blue edge phantoms. Berbes fluorite mines are well-known for excellent violet, blue or purple fluorite cubes with interior phantoms, BUT we have not seen one with such distinctive and prominent modified edges.
