Fluorite on doubly-terminated Quartz (''floater'' specimen)

Like several Chinese localities, the famous Yaogangxian Mine has given collectors superb quality Fluorite specimens. This particular specimen was mined in the early 2000s, and is a wonderful example of the material. This beautiful display specimen hosts a group sharp, very lustrous, well-formed, gemmy, light purple colored cubic crystals of Fluorite measuring 1.7 cm across aesthetically sitting on a doubly-terminated group of prismatic, milky to slightly grey colored Quartz with minor accenting white Dolomite. The piece is a complete "floater", as its totally crystallized all over, with no damage or point of attachment that I can find. This certainly now considered classic material is, so if you collect Chinese minerals or worldwide Fluorites, don't miss out on this cabinet sized attractive colorful display piece. Valued at $1,800.
