Item Description
This long storied historic U.S. locality has produced some of the world's finest Calcite and Fluorite specimens extant. Despite the fact that there are only a handful of minerals found at the Elmwood mine, some of them are among the most recognizable minerals in the world. The classic purple Fluorites are a favorite among collectors, and it's easy to see why. This piece features an excellent quality, sharp, lustrous, rich purple color, gemmy cube of Fluorite sitting on white Dolomite rhombs on matrix. This piece is in very good shape on the display side, and even features a tiny reddish-brown Sphalerite crystal. These pieces are well known classics from the U.S. and this one really has it all from the standpoint of quality, size and displayability. The Fluorite crystal measures 2.7 cm on edge.
