Fluorite on Calcite on Quartz

A dramatic and very uncommon large combination from Mahodari. Rich brick-red botryoidal fluorite preferentially coats calcite scalenohedrons and rhombs, while adjacent calcites are uncoated! The large coated calcite is 5.8 cm. These crystals are very aesthetcially set in the large 3-dimensional, quartz crystal-lined vug. The bruising on the fluorite and calcite was caused by contacting against the vug walls, and is only a modest detraction. Impressive and excellent large material from Nashik. Valued at $800-1000. This would easily be over $2000, if perfect.
