Item Description
A fine fluorite specimen from this historic Cornwall lead mine, that produced from 1843-1875. Tightly intergrown, glassy, gemmy, colorless fluorite cubes, to 1.0 cm, have lightly frosted faces. The cubes cover the mounded matrix of sugary calcite on this showy 360-degree old-timer. A bit of basal periphery wear is certainly a modest detraction to this classic fluorite combination. Faint fluorescence. This is an uncommon and desirable fluorite style from Wheal Mary Ann. Ex Douglas Creba Collection.
