Item Description

An showy, excellent and very uncommon fluorite combination specimen from this ancient mining district in the Black Forest. Intergrown, lustrous and translucent, tan fluorite cubes to 3.9 cm are preferentially overgrown with rust-brown goethite blades and small quartz crystals. It is very interesting, that the top faces of the fluorite cubes are untouched, while the sides are totally overgrown. Specimens from this area are rarely on the market. Ex Schlichter Collection.
