Item Description

Extremely glassy, transparent to transparent, greenish-gray, intergrown fluorite octahedrons form an exceptional large plate from this old and closed fluorite mine. The frosted faces to the octos on top and scintillating stepped-growth faces in the center really add pizzazz to this fine piece. Complete all-around and nearly pristine, with only a tiny bruise on the right edge and modest periphery wear at the base. BRIGHT purple fluorescence. Ex Humboldt University and Art Soregaroli Collections.
