Item Description
This small cab features gemmy, light blue Fluorite cubes intergrown with highly lustrous and sharp Siderite rhombs. The Fluorites and Siderites are in the 0.8-1 cm range, and there is even a Pyrite cube thrown in for good measure. The quality and habit, as well as color and luster, are very atypical (in a good way) for the Ehrenfriedersdorf area. The blue fluorescence of the Fluorite is outstanding. Such quality all the way around goes a long way to explain why this fine combination piece was once in the famous Carl Bosch and Smithsonian collections before making its way to Kay. Possibly from the Saurberg Mine, this was #7431 in Kay's collection.
