Item Description
An impressive and sculptural, large fluorite specimen from New Finds at this remote mine. Two, stacked clusters of lustrous, translucent, pretty violet fluorite octahedrons dominate the plate covered with more octos, small clusters of silvery-bright, lollingite blades and contrasting cream-colored feldspar with quartz matrix. The octos reach 2.5 cm on the diagonal and their faces are lightly etched/frosted. Every turn presents a different visual aspect to these fluorites. Essentially pristine, as contacting on the back is out-of-sight. The base and sides have been expertly prepared to enhance the considerable display quality. Interestingly, no fluorescence. Excellent large combination material from this highly productive Chinese locale. Valued at $1500.
