Item Description

A dramatic, fine, intensely stepped-growth, glassy, 4.1 cm, colorless fluorite octahedron jauntily set atop mounded matrix very nicely accented with spiky calcite crystal clusters and nifty, brassy/iridescent pyrite pyritohedrons. The fluorite is pristine. Older, excellent combination material, probably from the 1960s or 70s, from the famous mines at Naica. Modest purple fluorescence. Displays well without aid. Ex Bob Trimingham Collection.
