Item Description

Fluorites from the Rock Candy Mine are a Canadian classic. This is an impressive, large mounded plate of lustrous and translucent, intensely stepped-growth, glassy, bi-colored (light lavender outside with a mint-green core) modified octahedrons. The striking large crystals reach 5.7 cm and look just like classic Mayan stepped pyramids! The glassy, tabular, amber barite crystals peppered across one edge are classic combination for the locale. The scattered bruised barites and periphery wear on one end are noted, but are certainly only modest detractions to this very choice and excellent large specimen from this well-known locale Excellent purple fluorescence. Older material. Ex Bob Whitmore Collection. 4.2 pounds or kilos mass. Valued at $2000.
