Item Description
A RARE, rich and impressive large combination fluorite plate from a very obscure Grant County locale - the O.T.E. Prospect. Two generations of fluorite octahedrons cover the entire front of the plate. Large translucent green octahedrons, to 1.8 cm, dominate the top of the plate and have satin luster faces. Scattered purple in some of the octos adds color and pizzazz. Smaller, near colorless octos with hints of green and purple and frosted faces cover the lower portion of the plate and add contrast. Rich purple fluoresecence. Ex Ted Bartels Collection. Valued highly by the former dealer at $1500 for size, richness and rarity. A MUST for the species or New Mexico collector.
