Item Description
RARE and sculptural intergrown fluorite octahedrons from an unknown Jefferson County Front Range pegmatite. The impressive large octos, to 5.0 cm, have a striking, rough oriented surface texture. The opaque prism faces are a very dark purple. The two broken tips reveal, that the interiors are a lustrous, translucent pretty violet. The attachment at the bottom shows, that the crystal cores are partially lustrous, translucent green. Fascinating and rare Colorado fluorite from the Allen Dillwith Collection. A MUST for the species or Colorado collector! Said to come from "near Golden," and obtained from the field collector. Highly unusual!
