Item Description
A 6.5 cm, sharply terminated frosted quartz crystal is the focal point of this aesthetic and sculptural 360-degree quartz and fluorite combination from this well-known Soviet era tungsten-molybdenum deposit. The quartz crystals are nicely nestled in a dense cluster of pretty blue-green fluorite octahedrons. The octos reach 4.5 cm (doubly terminated). Purple fluorescence. Ex Kay Robertson Collection # 12339 and acquired from Scott Williams in the 1990s. Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017). Choice and uncommon combination material in this quality.
