Item Description
Specimens from the much less well-known Kavalerovo Mining District, near Dalnegorsk, Russia are much rarer than from the much more famous nearby Dalnegorsk mines. Distinctive, diagnostic, lustrous and translucent, apple-green fluorite octahedrons with intense stepped-growth faces are nicely scattered on the undulating CABINET plate covered with glassy quartz crystals. The sharp, centrally placed octo is 1.7 x 1.5 x 1.4 cm. Specimens such as this came out in the early 1990s, with none since. Excellent and showy material from the Herb Obodda dealer stock.
