Item Description

Translucent, lustrous, sharp sea-green, fluorite octahedrons to 3.8 x 3.6 cm with subtle hints of purple are aesthetically set on the large massive fluorite matrix covered with tiny quartz points. This is an exceptionally fine and uncommon fluorite specimen from the mines of the Buckskin Moutains. Modern cleaning technology would certainly enhance the piece, removing iron oxides. Ex Bob Trimingham Collection. Purchased from Neal Pfaff at the Desert Inn in February, 1980 and "was easily the best of several flats of specimens examined." The fluorites are pristine. Bright purple fluorescence. A must for the Arizona or species collector.
