Fluorite octahedrons on Sphalerite & Siderite

A survivor from the 1990s... Uncommon, sharp, water-clear, colorless, "invisible" fluorite octahedrons are richly and attractively intergrown on the sculptural small cabinet matrix of sparkly, microcrystalline Sphalerite with Siderite. The glassy and lustrous octos reach 1.8 cm tall and the subtle dense stepped-growth crystal faces add much interest to the piece. All of the many crystals in the interior are pristine. Most of the highly regarded "invisible" fluorites from the famous Nikolaevskiy Mine are cubes, making this specimen an excellent anomaly. Ex Kurt Hefendehl Collection, a well-known German collector who amassed a world-wide collection of over 6000 pieces. An outstanding and uncommon fluorite varietal with accessories from the noted locale. At the time these came out in the 1990s, they were simply called "ice cube fluorites"!
