Fluorite octahedrons on Quartz

A dramatic, sculptural and aesthetic large plate of translucent, green with as bit of purple fluorite octohedrons to 3.7 cm on etched, needle quartz from the famed De'an Mine of China. I really like the presentation of the isolated and clustered octos on this piece. Pristine, except for a trivial bruise to one tip of the large octo. Common 5-7 years ago, supplies have dried up and disappeared, with very little new material coming out. This is one of the best, more aesthetic large examples we have offered at auction. The crystals glow when backlit. Comes with a custom-made and engraved lucite base valued at $150, for free. Valued at $1200-1500 overall, as this is actually quite a nice example of the material and stands out, to my eyes, from the vast majority of "flat" plates that look similar at first glance.
