Item Description
Matrix Riemvasmaak fluorite specimens of this aesthetic quality are few and far between. The piece looks like a baseball glove with glassy sharp quartz crystal "fingers" with the palm of the mitt holding two, intergrown, gemmy and lustrous, unique grass-green fluorite octahedrons. The prism faces of the quartz crystals have a nifty second generation of quartz microcrystals and the "thumb" of the glove has a striking, partial iron oxide coating. A very nice surprise on the back are two more intergrown fluorite crystals. Both fluorite clusters are pristine on this outstanding 360-degree combination specimen. Very nearly pristine, the four quartz point terminations have only trivial to infinitesimal bruising. Contacting to the back of the "thumb" has no damage, per se. This fine piece has dramatic quality and these are contemporary classics. Valued at $1000-1250.
