Item Description
Specimens from the much less well-known Kavalerovo Mining District, near Dalnegorsk, Russia are much rarer than from the much more famous nearby Dalnegorsk mines. Two, distinctive, diagnostic, lustrous and translucent, apple-green fluorite octahedrons with etched faces and bulbous, gemmy corners are aestheticaly perched on the cluster of very glassy, doubly terminated quartz crystals, which in turn, are peched on matrix covered with sparkly drusy quartz. The large octo is 1.5 x 1.5 x 1.4 cm. Some of the quartz crystals have a very interesting secondary overgrowth. Complete all-around, front and back and pristine. Specimens such as this came out in the early 1990s, with none since. Excellent and showy material from the Herb Obodda dealer stock.
