Item Description

Rich green color on this shapely textbook, translucent classic fluorite octahedron with frosted faces. Wise Mine fluorites have a bright glowing green color that is seldom matched in fluorites from anywhere else. The intergrown side car crystal on one side adds character. The upper half of this 360-degree octo is nearly pristine, with just a modest bit of bruising along the termination. The lower half is also in very good shape, with only a bit of contacting on the ends. This remains a colorful, showy and highly representative fluorite from the famous locale in industrial America of the 1800's, now known for its gemstone production. Purple fluorescence. . Hard to put a value on such things, as we seldom see them for sale! $500-1000 seems reasonable.
