Item Description
A textbook, classic fluorite octahedron from the famous Wise Mine. The gemmy and lustrous crystal has rich mint-green color with a hint of blue. The frosted, lightly etched, stepped-growth faces add character to this sculptural 360-degree cutie. Every turn presents a different perspective. Complete all-around. One lower side is cleaved and the base is the attachment. These can be strongly minimized in the best display views. Wise Mine fluorites are a US classic and this is an excellent small cabinet. Rich purple fluorescence. Ex David Burgess Collection, for whom Burgessite is named.
