Item Description
Attention Fluorite collectors! From a new find in early 2017, we acquired a small parcel of these exciting Fluorite specimens from a good friend in Pakistan who tells me that these attractive and interesting pieces are coming from Balochistan, which is probably best known for it's beautiful fiery "Alpine-type" Brookite specimens. This is certainly not what one would expect from this area, but I have seen a few specimens in the hands of other Pakistani dealers, and they all say they're coming from Baluchistan. This attractive small cabinet display specimen features a hefty cube that shows phantom zoning with purple (blue in sunlight) transitioning to colorless, with flashes of orange on the bottom (from iron inclusions). The front of the piece features a smaller cubic crystal and upon close inspection you can see that the majority of the front face is actually CRYSTALLIZED and not broken or cleaved. There is one small spot of actual damage, but obviously the piece separated in the pocket and healed (re-healed) as there are full crystal faces as we've shown in the photos. This is one of the largest crystals from the find. Valued at $700 in the inventory. We will have a few more of these to offer in the coming weeks and months, and you will see colors ranging from purples, to blues to pinks to colorless and even some smoky hues! If you're a Fluorite collector, don't miss out on this eye-catching colorful specimen from an obscure new locality!
