Item Description
A hefty, good quality, large cube of Fluorite with vivid purple and blue internal "phantom" color zoning which is dotted by smaller cubic silvery Galena crystals from the famous Denton Mine in southern Illinois. The Fluorite has no matrix and is crystallized all the way around including the back. It's nearly a complete "floater" specimen, but there are a few contacts which might be a point of attachment, so I'm not going to call it a true "floater". The color is just gorgeous when the piece is backlit. You don't see too many crystals this size from the Denton Mine. These specimens are fast disappearing from the market, and will go down as some of the most beloved Fluorites from any US locality. Valued in the inventory at $2,400.
