Fluorite, Muscovite and Quartz

Highly sculptural and unusual large combination from this less well-known tungsten-tin mine in Jiangxi Province. Specimens from here often were, and remain, confused with the material from Yaogangxian in Hunan, although the yellow muscovite here is a giveaway. This is an older specimen from the 1990s, although Piaotang still produces. The bizarre looking and geometric matrix is actually composed of striking Quartz crystals, nearly totally covered with green and yellow Muscovite, and having dramatically exposed gemmy and glassy terminations. This exotic piece is highlighted by the scattered purple, translucent, Fluorite cubes nicely accented with edge phantoms with satin luster faces. The cubes reach 9 mm and have purple fluorescence.
