Fluorite (multicolor "phantom" cubes) on Quartz (ex Dr. Stephen Smale Collection)

A wonderful specimen with great composition and displayability. This full cabinet sized display piece hosts several fine quality, sharp, gemmy, purple, green and colorless "phantom" cubic crystals of Fluorite measuring up to 1.5 cm on edge which are sitting on a layer of lustrous, hexagonal Quarz prisms with no matrix. Nearly all of the Fluorites are damage free, though I can see a few TINY imperfections looking closely. I love the arrangement of the piece with the central solitary Quartz crystal flaring out of the back central portion of the specimen which gives way to all the beautiful Fluorites in the front. This particular color combiation is not very common from the Yaogangxian Mine and this would make a great additiont to any Fluorite suite or Chinese collection.
