Item Description
A wondefful and showy display specimen of Fluorite from the famous Denton Mine. The piece is features a predominant sharp, gemmy "phantom" cube of Fluorite showing colors ranging from blue to purple to golden with intermediate colors in between that is sitting among additional Fluorite cubes of equal quality and color zoning. The largest Fluorite measures 4.5 cm on edge and the front face of the crystal actually shows the corner of a PENETRATION TWIN jutting out! The back of the piece shows small scattered "Ruby Jack" Sphalerites that give the piece great character. The piece comes from the collection of Ross Lillie (# RCL0994). It's certainly a great quality overall piece from this famous locality in southern Illinois. No major damage that I can see aside from a slight bruise on the side of one of the secondary crystals. A great piece to add to your collection, especially if you collect Fluorites, Southern Illinois specimens, or pieces with fine crystals. Valued in the inventory at $2,500.
